Friendships play an important role in all our lives. Having strong and positive relationships with other people, are one of the keys to happiness and sense of belonging. You don’t need lots of friends, but you do need some good quality ones.

Good friends can make you feel like you belong, are valued and feel supported. Friends can make you feel good about yourself, as good friends tend to accept you for who you are and love you anyway. With good friends, you get to try out new ideas, learn how to solve problems, negotiate differences, listen and communicate, plus have lots of fun and laughs together!  

You have to know how to be a good friend to have and to keep good friends. You need to invest time and care to build any relationship. You also need to know when it is time to let go.  

Making friends isn’t always easy and can be a source of stress too, so It is important to develop skills to build and maintain positive, safe and respectful long-term friendships with others.
